Another Victim of Reform

August 28, 2009

Stephen is 56 years old. Because he’s a republican, the Obama Death Panel will kill him in just nine short years. But that’s not even the worst of it. His entire life savings is in jeopardy, solely due to the fact that this hero happens to work in the healthcare field. You can bet that Obama will be quite pleased when Stephen’s family is destitute; begging on the streets. And why? All in the name of fiscal restraint.

As a foot-soldier for UnitedHealth Care, Stephen Hemsley has broken his back for over a dozen years, and all he has to show for it is $744,232,068.00 in unexercised stocks, and a measly salary of $3,200,000.00 a year. How the hell is a CEO supposed to live on that?

If Obama has his way, Hemsley will lose millions. UnitedHealth Care won’t be able to deny claims that cut into their profits. They won’t be able to screen out folks with preexisting conditions. Some people might change providers simply because Obama will let them!

Sure, UnitedHealth Group, who owns UnitedHealth Care and much, much more; has had a few legal issues. But dealing with the restraints Obama wants to throw their way just might break the bank. Perhaps that’s why Hemsley and friends are spending millions every day to stop reform now. Before it’s too late…

This is all just so sad, can we donate money to this poor CEO? Maybe start a telethon or something, “Save the Rich.”

I like the telethon idea. Maybe Sen. Grassley can be the host.

We can ask Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh to promote the telethon on their shows. I’m sure the 912ers will be the biggest donors. You betcha!

One of my relatives is being treated for a blood disorder and rheumatoid arthritis. Her doctor also put her on a low-salt diet for her weight. Her insurance company refused to pay ANY of the bill, denying it entirely as they “don’t cover obesity.”
I suppose it would be the same if she broke a leg or had appendicitis, huh?

So relieved to see that the money they are saving on her will be going to a good cause like keeping Hemsley’s coffers overflowing.

That’s really sad. The insurance company should be paying to help your relative lose weight as a preventive measure.

    These guys are inhuman.
Which insurance company? I’d like to do a piece on them.

This stinks… I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have United Health Care. My only other option is Aetna. Both of these companies provide terrible service at a high premium.

I have a solution; perhaps we should have some type of reform!

Screw starving children and abused animals. I’m totally donating to this guy. Just look at him, for god’s sake!

You’re right; poor guy needs a soul transplant!

    Quote of the day!

In all seriousness, it’s about time those corporate fat-cats stop profiting off the sickness and death of other people. It’s sick and twisted that that has been the norm in this country for so long. And we try to act like we’ve progressed soo much more than the rest of the world.. pshh. Wasn’t our rank 32nd on the list of quality healthcare in the world??

  10. September 3, 2009 12:07 am

Yep, but we rank #1 in worshiping the Almighty Dollar…

You are too ignorant and gullible for words. I’ll bet you still think the earth is flat and I’ve got some heart breaking news for you; there is no Santa Clause, your parents made that up too.

Oh well, you know what they say:”You can’t motor boat a personality!”
